Avino S-Timber Door

Ultra slim timber balcony door by Avino

Maximise light and beauty within your architectural designs with this modern timber balcony door from the Avino S-Timber range. Crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail as the rest of the Avino S-Timber range, the modern timber balcony door offers the slimmest timber frame of only 5cm. This matches the rest of the range for a modern and cohesive window and door design throughout an entire space.

Due to the minimal sightlines and blended elegance of the timber balcony door system, it is the ideal specification choice for contemporary architectural projects.

Locking is fully integrated into the minimal timber frame with a slim lever handle providing effortless security to the opening. Further levels of security can be integrated into the timber door thanks to the MVS which brings closure sensors into the profiles which can then be integrated into the building’s security system.

Thresholds can be flush if being used as an access door with an optional low threshold option for the base. The internal and external floor finishes flow freely across the base frame of the wooden sliding door.

Take functionality further with integrated fly screens or venetian blinds that blend perfectly into the timber framing of the Avino S-Timber door.

The Avino S-Timber Door is available as an inward opening balcony door, possible to be combined within fixed glass facades of framed or frameless glass as well as opening windows. All options offer slim timber sightlines, available with a range of internal and external finishes. The slim frame of the timber door offers a modern aesthetic to the balcony door while offering the interior design the beauty of the various timber finishes.

All interior finishes can be designed to match the internal timber profile for a fully harmonious biophilic design.

With all timber finishing options sourced sustainably and from native forests where possible, this modern timber window is the perfect solution for any modern architectural project.

Each timber door is made bespoke, to exacting detail. The finishes, handles and ironmongery are all crafted to the highest levels of performance and quality. Every element is carefully constructed to ensure exceptional quality, durability and longevity,

With triple glazing as standard, the modern timber balcony door offers Uw values from 0.79 W/m2K to easily reach the requirements for thermal insulation. The timber door can also be used in conjunction with a passivhaus level of performance thanks to its insulation and air tightness.

Internal Finishes

The internal face of the Avino-S Timber Door can be chosen from a range of timber, metal or bespoke finishes. Our catalogue details the curated options possible with even more finishes available on request. Our Atelier Studio can select bespoke finishes for you to match the interior design of a room. That allows all interior finishes from ceilings, walls, floors and furniture to match the internal frames of the windows.

External Finishes

Externally, the modern window is finished with classical and minimal detailing. The outer frame is capped with aluminium profiles that are crafted to the exact requirements of the project. The finish of these outer frames can be chosen for each project from a range of RAL PPC finishes or unique anodised surfaces.

Maximum Sizes

The slim framed balcony door or fixed window is possible at a maximum size of 120kg per door sash, with a maximum height of 3.2m. Much larger and bespoke panel shapes are possible with the Avino-Invisio frameless glass system which is available in any size and shape and designed to complement the Avino timber range.

Handle Options

The lever handle of the Avino S-Timber Door has been perfectly crafted to sit on the 5cm face of the door frame. The handle activates the stainless-steel locking mechanism withing the frame, activating the integral stainless-steel mushrooms which fix into the pre-fixed positions within the fixed frame. The handle is available with a square or oval rosette and is possible in black, silver or textured grey.

This modern timber balcony door has been designed with the highest quality materials and engineering practices to create a beautiful door system that works for its application. The system is fully tested for air permeability, water resistance, wind resistance, acoustic performance as well as thermal insulation.

Passivhaus Door Performance

For projects being designed to passivhaus principles, the Avino S-Timber Door is a slimline alternative to the chunky composite you see elsewhere. With only 5cm of frame, the windows are minimal and beautifully crafted from bespoke materials. And with Class 4 air permeability and Uw values of 0.79 W/m2K the balcony doors can be integrated into passivhaus projects to achieve all performance goals.

Matching Windows and Doors

The Avino S-Timber range includes this modern timber window as well as typical opening windows and sliding doors, all with the same 5cm framework.
